Challenge Partners – an external Quality Assurance Review –  works with schools across the country, sharing excellent practice, facilitating peer review and running programmes grounded in evidence of what works, so that all pupils can benefit from the combined wisdom of the system, and of other sectors.

Each year, a team of between 3 and 4 Reviews from schools up and down the UK spend 3 days in Zaytouna to complete an external Quality Assurance Review.

They look at:

• The quality of teaching and learning
• Children’s books
• Curriculum leadership
• School leadership
• Provision for our most vulnerable children

Our Areas of Excellence

In addition to the rigorous review, schools can apply to become an Area of Excellence in an area of their provision.

Zaytouna Primary currently has 2 accredited Areas of Excellence:

1. Accredited in 2021 – Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity (PESSPA) – having a big impact through an excellent curriculum and strong leadership.
2. Accredited in 2020 – Leadership of Qur’anic and Islamic Studies (curriculum provision within religious education and personal, health and social education).
