I am Mrs Nisar and I teach in Year 6, but also lead Maths across the school.
I trained at the University of Derby where I completed a Bachelor of Education (with QTS) and achieved First Class Honours.
I joined the teaching profession to help children achieve their full potential and to make a real difference. Knowing that coming to work every day helps a large number of children accomplish skills and knowledge in a variety of subjects is extremely rewarding.
My favourite subject to teach is Maths. I like to solve problems, and knowing that there is always an answer to find pushes me to persevere even further.
During my spare time, I enjoy reading novels, watching films and documentaries and also spending time with family.
My favourite book, or series of books, has to be Harry Potter. These are books that I enjoyed reading as a child, and it is fantastic to see that children in my class are now also reading these too!
An interesting fact about me is that I learnt to play the violin when I was younger.
