Safeguarding Governor

My name is Naidah Bhatti.  I choose to become a school governor to help make a difference and give something back to the community. Being a school governor and supporting Team Zaytouna as they inspire our students and prepare them for the future, is a privilege.

Zaytouna Primary School is an amazing foundation for young children to start their journey from. The caring attention and nurturing at Zaytouna Primary School is so extraordinary and apparent from the moment you step into this school. My first tour of this school highlighted I was making the right decision. Each classroom had a magical story to tell.

As a Governor, I shall be responsible in supporting the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and ensuring all staff and volunteers adhere to this commitment. I am a keen advocate of safeguarding vulnerable children and young adults at the UK Borders and, have gained immense experience from dealing with such matters whilst working in numerous countries as a UK Diplomat.

Professionally, various roles in my career have allowed me to create overseas sustainability through training, mentoring and enhancing project capacity building through up-skilling. I thrive on maintaining professional standards, personal ethics and honesty.

I enjoy travelling and experiencing different cultures around the world. I’m passionate about helping the less vulnerable, being creative and making a lasting difference whether it’s in my professional capacity or through voluntary acts. It’s all about the smiles…

Currently I’m reading Deborah Rodriguez’s, ‘The Little Coffee Shop of Kabul’…
