Hello, I am Mrs Moir. I am lead of the most fabulous EYFS. My teacher studies were based at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford, Essex where I completed my Bachelors Degree in Education.
My passion for teaching began many years ago when I was a parent helper at my daughter’s primary school. Watching children be excited and intrigued through stimulating and engaging learning opportunities ignited my desire to want this for all children.
Art and design surrounds us and plays a crucial part of everyday life. I enjoy bringing art and design into all aspects of learning as I believe that it is able to strengthen learning through creativity and provides opportunities to be able to express yourself in many different forms from painting to sculpture.
I love making words on a page spring to life through storytelling and believe that the simplest of stories can inspire a world filled with exploration and adventure. Bringing creativity into learning is a personal aim, as when we are creative we are curious, when we are curious we ask questions, when we ask questions we grow.
“The important thing is to never stop questioning. Curiosity has it’s own reason for existing.” Albert Einstein
When not being Mrs Moir I enjoy going on adventures with my family, sharing stories with my wonderful grandchildren and experimenting in the kitchen.
One of my favourite books is The Magic Finger by Roald Dahl.
